      Focus and Scope

Journal of the Indonesian Physiological Society is an electronic and open access scientific journal that publishes research result in all area of physiology, including plant, animal, human, and sport physiology.  The journal also publishes the reseach report on ergonomy (work physiology). The journal covers all aspects of physiology from molecular, cellular, to organismal physiology.

Peer Review Process

The journal implements Double-blind Peer Review Process. Editor in Chief will assign the manuscript to a corresponding section editor for further handling. The section editor will request at least two scientists to review the manuscript. Based on the comments from the reviewers, Section Editor, and Editor in Chief will make the decision on the manuscript.

Journal of the Indonesian Physiological Society published twice a year : February and August

Open Access Policy

Journal of the Indonesian Physiological Society provides open access from the contents of the journal. So that all research’s articles published in this journal can be freely access by public in order to support the knowledge exchange on a global level.

Publication ethics and malpractice reports

Journal of the Indonesian Physiological Society is a scientific journal published on-line. This journal will publish articles or scientific works from research of physiology sciences including human physiology, medical physiology, sports physiology, animal physiology, and plant physiology. Both classical and modern approaches, such as molecular biology, are also included in the scope of this journal.

Publication Fee

Articles published electronically in "Jurnal Sumberdaya Hayati" are free of charge, except for reprint fees: 100,000,-/article (if desired, max 8 pages/article) including postage. 

Author Guidlines

The manuscript must be an original manuscript on the results of a research, review, or short communication that are written either in the Indonesian or English language.  The manuscript has never been published in any national or international scientific journal.

 

Scope

A manuscript should cover the area of physiology, including plant, animal, human, and sport physiology as well as the research report on ergonomy. All aspects of physiology from molecular, cellular, to organismal physiology will be considered for publication

 

Manuscript submission

The author is asked to send an original document (soft file) from the original manuscript that was prepared with Microsoft Word. Manuscripts soft file should be submitted through the journal online system https://journal.iaifi-ips.org/

 

Type of Articles

 

Research Article. An original article reporting the research results in the field of physiology. The article should be organized according to the following structures:  Introductions, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussions, Conclusions and Reference. Should be written maximum 15 pages (including tables and figures), with 80% citation sources from primary research/journal article.

 

Review. A survey, evaluation and critical interpretation of recent research, data and concepts in the field of physiology. Review article is an invitation article from prominent scientists in their field of physiology. Structures of the review Should consist of Introductions, Results, Discussions, Conclusions and Reference. Should be written maximum 12 pages (including tables and figures), with minimum 50 references.

 

Short Communication. An article that able to reporting the results of a research or new method in research on physiology that urgently needs to be disseminated to stimulate further research. The short communication (maximum 1500 words) receives the same in-depth review as the Research Article.

 

 

Writing Format

 

In order for the manuscript to be published, the author is expected to follow this guideline which can be download here : LINK. As written in the Template Article, the journal shoul be written with Arial font in Microsoft Word (.doc) with A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm) Layout

 

 Research Manuscript is arranged with the order as follows:

  1. Title. Written in the language of Indonesia and English, the title articles have to specific and effective (maximum 12 words).
  2. Authors. Consists of full name of each authors (without academic title), institutions/affiliations with full address and postal code, including correspondence and electronic mail (email) one of the authors.
  3. An institutional name/Institution. Accompanied full address to the number a zip code.
  4. Abstract. Abstract should be written in English and Indonesian, not more than 250 words.
  5. Keywords. Written in the Indonesian or English (British) with maximum 5 keywords, first keywords reflected as the focus topic that described on the manuscript, and keywords are written alphabetically.
  6. Introduction. Contains background research conducted, closed short, solid, and clear. In introduction is also included research objectives written at the end of paragraph.
  7. Materials and Methods. Contains materials and instrument, research locations, method way data collection (survey or experiment), and analysis of data.
  8. Result and Discussion. Served in the form of text, table, and picture. The discussion contains interpretation of research results that obtained and is associated with results ever reported (previous studies).
  9. Conclusion. Load-meaning the results of the study, the answer to hypothesis or research objectives.
  10. Acknowledgment (optional). Provide the source of funds (Institutions, contract years) and to whom grants are given. The name of the person or institution who helped with this research.
  11. References. In accordance with referenced in the body the literature and use library primary at least 80% from the journal. Use these guidelines to write the references (based on Harvard style):

 

Reference format for journal articles:

12. Figures. Use an image size with a width of 8.5 cm. For writing both number and title of the figure use Arial (size 10). Resolution settings 100-300 dpi. Figures should be in JPEG format.

13. Stastical Graphics. Must include standard deviation on each average data.

14. Maps. Add the scale on the image. To point out some place or figure, please use the arrows on a specific object in the image.

15. Tables. Include the standard deviation on each average data. The table title must be clear and complete. For writing both number and title of the table use Arial (size 10).

16. Photos. The photos contained in the manuscript are black and white or color photos. Photos should be in JPEG format.

17. Submission Fee. Articles published in Journal of the Indonesian Physiological Society will be charged 750.000 IDR for Indonesian Authors or $75 USD for Overseas Authors.
